Hi! I purchased my 2014 Buick Encore a few months agone and love the navigation feature considering I travel alot. I noticed that the maps are not upwardly to engagement and my GM dealer told me to purchase the update through GM. The cost is $160!! I'm curious if it is worth it or if there is a way around paying the $160??

I just updated mine. I brought a book to read while I waited in the driveway with the engine running. It took at least l minutes. Evidently, it looks at the USB bulldoze again after it is done, and then throws an fault message. Yet, the Nike address check was successful, so it must accept worked.

I found it was NOT worth the coin. I updated my 2013 when I bought is used in 2016 and did the update. GM has not provided another update since then. I have a Garmin with unlimited updates and find that was non only a ameliorate value.... but more authentic.
